01 / THE PRODUCT & MY ROLE

Less time documenting.
More attention for the patient.

AvodahMed supports clinical documentation before, during, and after a visit. As a Senior Software Developer, I worked on the shared interface foundations, onboarding, and platform architecture behind that experience.

THE CLINICAL WORKFLOW

Support the visit, from context to handoff.

  1. 01

    Prepare

Bring pre-visit patient context into the workflow.

  2. 02

    Document

Support structured clinical notes during the visit.

  3. 03

    Review

Keep the clinician in control of judgment and documentation.

  4. 04

    Hand off

Prepare post-visit documentation for the EHR.

Specialty-aware workflows, rather than a single generic note template.

02 / ENGINEERING DECISIONS

Shared foundations. Faster delivery.

01

Build the interface once. Use it across products.

Repeated interface work slowed delivery across the product suite.

I built and scaled a shared design system of more than forty components, documented in Storybook. This cut UI development time across products by roughly half.

02

Make operations self-serve.

Tenant setup took two or three days, adding friction before a client could get started.

I built a self-serve onboarding system that reduced setup to under four hours, alongside a production operations dashboard using React Server Components, the Next.js App Router, and feature-flag rollouts.

03

Make the platform testable.

The flagship platform’s AWS Amplify architecture made it difficult to test properly.

I co-led a six-month migration and selected the replacement T3 stack: tRPC, Next.js, Drizzle, and PostgreSQL. I also made architecture decisions for the NestJS core backend and defined feature-based architecture and engineering standards.
